Trippin' Fashionably

On Tuesday I took a trip down to KL to attend the Fashionably KL Pop-up Stores x Parkamaya event at Fahrenheit88. I decided to take the trip all the way down because I could squeeze in time to meet Claire (who I'll never have a bad time with) for a day and a half. Anyway, I decided to make a video on my trip for fun because I thought it might be something different. For those of you who would rather not watch the video, here are some pictures but watch the video... just for fun hehe.
Top: Halter cropped top, Forever 21
Bottoms: Striped palazzo pants, Forever 21
Shoes: Unif inspired hellbounds, taobao.com
Bag: Soft leather tote bag, Longchamp
Hat: Black floppy hat, H&M

It's the 3rd year of the event in association with KL Fashion Week where 9 up and coming designers had their pop up stores located at Parkamaya, Fahrenheit88. The 9 Malaysian designers who had pop-up stores were Soonaru, Nasty Inc, Joey'L, Jimmy Lim, Andy Bandy, Giddy Up, RDKL, Chiyo and Jeeny C. Each designers have their own unique styles and are definitely to look out for.
The designers had a session to talk about their latest collection after the fashion show. However, not all designers were present as most of them had to prepare for KLFW. Standing out from the basics, each designer showcased their speciality such as Chiyo which uses circles, triangles and squares and Giddy Up with the latest shoes coloured in red, blue and yellow in conjunction with Hari Merdeka. There were also a big contrast between the designers - from simple and easy wear by Joey'L to high fashion pieces from Jimmy Lim to whimsical and girly pieces from Andy Bandy

Featured among the designers were also casual wear by Nasty Inc and RDKL which was filled with cool street style vibe, beautiful statement accessories by Jeeny C and chic clean-cut pieces by Soonaru which was inspired by the designer's multi-ethnic background. Personally, I thought all the designs were amazing. I even bought myself a skort from Joey'L!
Overall I believe the pieces are great for many occasions and are reasonably priced. If you're around Bukit Bintang, make sure to stop by Parkamaya at Fahrenheit88 to check out the pieces and support our local designers. Till here, I hope you're all well! Nx
